Data-Driven eCooking: Insights from Smart-Metered Electric Pressure Cookers for Domestic Use

We are excited to invite you to the upcoming eCooking Community of Practice (CoP) Webinar on “Data-Driven eCooking: Insights from Smart-Metered Electric Pressure Cookers for Domestic Use.” This virtual session will take place on Tuesday, 4th November, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (EAT).

The webinar is co-organized by Gamos East Africa (GAMEA), Kenya Power (KPLC), the Clean Cooking Association of Kenya (CCAK), and the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS), with support from the Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS) Programme.

The goal of this session is to explore the viability of using IoT-enabled smart plugs to monitor electric pressure cooker (EPC) usage in Kenya. To set the scene, Ms. Nora Bergin and Mr. Paul Conroy from 4R Digital will present findings from their recent study on Smart Metered Electric Pressure Cookers (EPCs) for Domestic Use .
