About the event
Last Mile Entrepreneurs (LMEs) and early-stage businesses in the eCooking sector play a crucial role in promoting energy access, accelerating adoption, and awareness creation and yet they often encounter significant challenges, such as limited access to finance, inadequate infrastructure, complex regulatory environments, and gaps in business management skills.
Despite the growing demand for eCooking appliances and increased adoption, securing thenecessary financial support to expand entrepreneurial initiatives and scale remains a challenge.
During this part 2 of financing eCooking sector series, Ms. Emna Jabri, Client Acquisition Manager at Bettervest GmbH, will share insights into their crowdfunding platform, which finances a range of projects, including clean cooking initiatives in East Africa and Germany. She will also present case studies of sector-specific projects they have funded for learning purposes.
In this session we aim to:
• Discuss financing opportunities that LMEs could explore to help in accelerating adoption of eCooking in rural and marginalised areas.
• To highlight successful examples of innovation and entrepreneurship in the eCooking sector, emphasizing the role of financing in their growth.
• To identify the key barriers to financing eCooking initiatives and explore potential solutions to overcome these challenges.
