About the event

4th  monthly eCooking Community of Practice dialogue session  for this year on “Usage and Impact of Electric Pressure Cookers (EPCs) used by customers in Kenya ”. This virtual webinar scheduled for  29th April 2024 from 14:00PM (EAT) is co-organized by Gamos East Africa (GAMEA), Kenya Power (KPLC), Clean Cooking Association of Kenya (CCAK), and African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS), and supported by the Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS) Programme.

This project was carried out in 2023 under the MECS program, which commissioned 60 Decibels to conduct a further study for additional insights with customers they had previously interviewed as part of the effort to scale markets for super-efficient appliances. 60 Decibels partnered with the Efficiency Access Coalition to explore the benefits and potential challenges experienced by electric pressure cooker customers in 2020–2022.

During this session, Maria Campos, Kat  Harrison and Cecial Kathini from 60 Decibels will take us through their study findings which looked at customers profils, experiences, satisfaction, challenges and impact at different points.
